Hey AFU,

AFU's next general meeting is to be held at OISE, 5th Floor Common Area,
at 3:00 PM on this Sunday 08 January 2012. We hope to see you there with
course proposals or other ideas!

Please also find included below the minutes from our last meeting on 25
November 2011.

Minutes From 2011 November 25

In attendance: Possum, Owen

    Free School meeting Agenda
        Possum call Ryan to meet in juice bar, re work together somehow
(eg cross promotion)

    Possum will also look into the possibilities of collaborating with
Trampoline Hall in some way.

    Course budgets to proposal
        We decided that it would be good to get course proposals to
include class expenses. Possum will add a section on this to the
website.

    Website spam
        Due to spam being added to the website, Possum will adjust the
website to subscribers only.

    Rediscovering Canadian LGBTQ History class
        Possum will contact Dwayne to ensure this class went well

    Owen's workshop
        Owen is considering proposing a January workshop

    Buying supplies
        Having a video camera, or other supplies, could be useful, however
we first need to find a long-term space where our supplies can be
kept. An organization we trust might be good for this purpose.
OPIRG might be a good bet. [No one was assigned to look into
this.]
        Can we find an organization to keep supplies at?

    Possum will Purge discussion list, and start up a new
moderator-approved list.

    We would like to find more potential spaces throughout the city.
        We will each work on a list of possible spaces
        Some possibilities:
            Parkdale Community centre as a space?
            Is there a suitable community centre Regent Park?
                community centre?

        We also plan to determine whether OPIRG can book classes for us
[no one was assigned this task].

It's time for another AFU General Meeting! We'll be meeting in the 5th
Floor common area at OISE this upcoming Sunday 19 Feb. 2012 at 3:00PM.

Come on out with your course proposals, organizing ideas, and other
